CFLC has been picked to judge the Sunny 104.5 Hands Down Showdown and we need volunteers! Volunteer judges will sign up for a 3 hour shift between June 8 - June 11 and will be monitoring a group of sixteen contestants that will have the chance to win a 2-year lease on a 2012 Mitsubishi Lancer (or $4,000) by keeping their hand (all five fingers and palm) on the car for as long as 72 hours, or until only one person remains -- whichever comes first. Time is Running Out, Who Is Going to Help?

For nearly two years I have written letters, had articles written about the need and written grants about Reach the Beach, Cape Fear Volunteer Center's free home repair program for the residents of Wilmington who are low income, elderly or ill. We have the volunteer labor, this is tried and proven program. It is cost effective. Yet I can not raise the $20,000.00 to pay for the materials. We don't even take any money for administration.
