Acoustic Soup: an evening of art & music

Art Soup, a local nonprofit arts organization presents Acoustic Soup: another philanthropic afternoon of art and music at Live on Grace 121 Grace Street in downtown Wilmington, NC 28401.

Enjoy an evening with acoustic music featuring the amazing talents of Devils Dove, Big Al Hall, Kim Dicso, Jim Ashley and Adam Carswell

This recurring musical showcase is creatively coupled with silent auctions, live painting and an artist area where local artists will sell their creative wares.

Acoustic Soup is a musical showcase rotating through various local venues as a fundraising event for Art Soup, a non-profit group in Wilmington, North Carolina. Proceeds from the event are used for the purchase of much-needed art supplies for our regional public school arts curriculums.

This July showcase at Live on Grace will feature a multitude of entertainment including contemporary folk, bluegrass, Americana, rock and blues. Devil’s Dove, a local three piece acoustic act, headlines the evening with a foot stomping, funk-infused folk sound that encompasses the artistic amalgamation of the event and all artists involved. There will be a small area set aside for local artists to sell their work, in a festival-like atmosphere with jewelers, painters and sculptors. Light hors d'oeuvres will be on hand, provided by a selection of local culinary favorites.

The infamous Art Ball machine will be on site too!

Art Soup is an arts education and event organization whose mission is to provide, educate and promote the performance and appreciation of the arts in the Cape Fear region of North Carolina. Focusing on art in a variety of forms, Art Soup hosts live events, presentations, educational services, artist services/donations, arts advocacy and promotion, as well as the general appreciation and participation in the arts.
