GE Retirees Association Meets Jan. 20

GE Retirees Association will meet at noon, Thursday, Jan. 20, at the New Hanover County Senior Resource Center, 2222 South College Rd.  Lunch $7, open to GE retirees and spouses.  Speaker will be Brenda “Ben” Brow, manager of the Senior Resource Center, who will speak about the center’s mission, services, activities, resources and opportunities.  RSVP to 799-5284.

A registered nurse and resident of Wilmington since 1972, Brow has been an active volunteer in disaster preparedness with the American Red Cross and Emergency Management since 1989 when Hurricane Hugo struck.  Her interest in disaster preparedness for special needs populations led her to join the Senior Resource Center in 2005.
