Event Description

Please join the N.C. Coastal Federation along the shores of Stump Sound as we begin work on a project to create oyster habitat and restore the shoreline along the Morris Landing Clean Water Preserve. We are kicking off the project by filling mesh bags with oyster shells. We will be supplying a bob-cat to do the hard work, but we will still need many hands to cut, seal and stack the shellbags. Please come out and volunteer for a couple of hours or for the whole day to participate in a fun and rewarding activity. Refreshments, supplies and equipment will be provided. This event is suitable for all ages. Pre-registration is requested. If you would like to help with any of this event (and bring a friend), please respond to Ted Wilgis tedw@nccoast.org or (910) 509-2838 to sign up and receive more information. Thank you.
