Event Description
The Food Bank invites our Social Media supporters - Facebookers, Bloggers and Tweeps, to an event where we'll kick off our Kids Summer Stock campaign! In its fourth year, Kids Summer Stock is a community-wide food and funds event to benefit the over 30,000 children at risk for hunger in the summer in Brunswick, Columbus, New Hanover and Pender counties.
From 4pm-9pm Zoe's Kitchen will be donating 15% of sales to the Food Bank of... Central & Eastern North Carolina at Wilmington, so even if you can't make it between 6p-8p, please come out to support!
The first 60 guests at the Social Media Mixer will receive a gift bag with goodies from the Food Bank and other businesses.
For each can brought to the event, the donor will receive a ticket. Or tickets can be purchased for a $1 donation. Prizes that can be won with the tickets include:
-Two kayak rentals courtesy of Hook, Line and Paddle
-Carolina Hurricanes Hockey Puck, signed by Joe Corvo
-Hurricanes Game Photo, signed by Tim Gleason
-Gift certificate from Holiday Inn Express Wilmington
-Gift certificate from Fanboy Comics
-Flip Video Portable Digital Camcorder
-Giant 1/3 lb Gummy Bears on a Stick
