Holiday Food Drive -

Miracles In Progress Aftercare Recovery Homes provides housing and support to men in the early stages of recovery from alcoholism and addiction. We have 2 residential facilities in Wilmington, NC. Our residents are referred to us by detox centers, treatment programs, courts, hospitals, family and friends, and many come into MIP directly from the streets of Wilmington. This being the case, very few come to us with any funding resources, support or help. We are trying to put a food drive in place that will provide these men with traditional holiday dinners for Thanksgiving and Christmas. My wife and I can only do so much for these men with the economy in its current state this holiday season without help from outside sources. We provide housing for 17 individuals, so our own resources are being stretched as far as they can be. Your help is truly needed.

You can help us provide them with a great holiday season, simply by putting together a care package of food, to be utilized during the holiday season. No donation, be it a single can food or a whole dinner for the holidays would go unappreciated.

You might also consider helping us with this by bringing it to the attention of the church you attend, or the company/business you work for, so that it becomes a group effort to bring the spirit of the holidays into these homes.
