Giving back in Southeastern North Carolina

I am sending out this message at the request of the Philanthropy Journal. With so many organizations seeking funds right now, this workshop may be helpful to Executive Directors and fundraising professionals.

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Fundraising will be the focus of an Oct. 22 workshop for nonprofits.

Part of a statewide lunch ‘n’ learn series sponsored by the Raleigh-based Philanthropy Journal, the workshop will feature Michelle Speas, who was named 2008 Fundraiser of the Year by Fundraising Success magazine.

The workshop, to be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Greenville, will offer strategies on how to increase annual giving, rethink stewardship strategies, and strengthen your development program.

The registration fee for the workshop is $20 for Philanthropy Journal subscribers, and $30 for nonsubscribers. Lunch will be served and is included in the registration fee.

To register, visit http://www.philanthropyjournal.org/webinars-and-workshops or call Cathy Harms at 919-573-4646.

The Philanthropy Journal’s Lunch ‘n’ Learn series targets nonprofit professionals, board members and volunteers in North Carolina. The event series is sponsored by NCGives and Bank of America and co-sponsored by The East Carolina Bank.
