New Hanover County Volunteer of the Year Awards 2011

11 nominees were honored at the annual Volunteer of the Year Awards Dinner. 5 winners were selected from the County to be honored by the NC Commission on Volunteerism. One was nominated to recieve the Governors Medallion of Honor Award, only 20 winners are selected from all nominations from the state of NC. This years dinner was held at Thalian Hall Ballroom, keynote speakers included Tannis Nelson, Elizabeth Redenbaugh and Jon and Shelia Evans. Mayor Saffo and Chairman Jonathon Barfield presented the awards, also in attendence was Ronald Sparks.
