- The mission of the Cape Fear Volunteer Center is to build and maintain an organization capable of meeting the needs of the non-profit community. We will provide trained volunteers, resources and processes that stimulate effective solutions for the New Hanover County area.

We are also the home of Big Buddy, one on one matching for at-risk-youth. Volunteers must be 18 years of age and willing to spend 2 hours a week with a child.

Big Buddies Needed
We have a waiting list of kids waiting for a Big Buddy. Do you have 2 hours a week that you could share with a kid? That is all it takes. You can take them to the park, the beach, the grocery store, you can help them with their homework.
