New Hanover County Arboretum is 7 acres of gardens that is open to the public every day during daylight hours and is free to visit. The Arboretum offers a variety of gardens including a rose garden, water garden, Japanese garden, children's garden, vegetable garden, and more. Arboretum in the AM at Cooperative Extension and Arboretum

A morning of fun and learning for people of all ages! At the Scavenger Hunt kids will enjoy searching the grounds for nature's treasures. Spring Gardening Workshops and Demonstrations learn turf tips, veggies and building raised beds, easy container gardening and all about herbs.
