Senior Resource Day at First Baptist Activity Center

November 9, 2010 from 10am to 3pm
A free event for seniors. Breakout workshops will include: medicare, veteran's affairs, financial options, safety, social security, long term care, and others. Various health screenings and a resource fair with over 40 vendors will also be available. Please share with any seniors you know - they will not want to miss this wonderful opportunity.

United Way of the Cape Fear Area teaches Basic Computer Skills to Seniors, age 50 and over, in four counties. We tutor 50-75 students per week. We would love to promote your senior programs and in turn ask that you do the same for us. Our site partners are Pender County Public Library, Burgaw branch (103 S. Free Basic Computer Classes for Seniors at New Hanover County Public Library

August 24, 2010 at 10am to July 1, 2011 at 3pm
The United Way of the Cape Fear Area, in partnership with the New Hanover County Public Library, is offering computer training by a Peer Coach using the Generations on Line tutorial for senior citizens. If you have never touched a computer, this class is for you. Come join us in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and learn to email, exchange photographs and apply for employment on line. We will stamp your parking ticket for the garage. Monday-Thursday, ongoing. 10am-3pm.
