Volunteer interests or needs:
I am interested in working with those who need computer training, especially on a Mac. I can also create flyers, programs, name tags, etc. for groups who need them. As an educator with 38 years of experience I am qualified to present programs on the importance of parental involvement in education and reading in the home. I have also presented many workshops for parents on how to choose educational software for their children.

I have a M.Ed. from NCSU in Reading, and Curriculum and Supervision. I also worked with Apple Computer for 4 years as an educational consultant placing computers in the schools and training teachers to use them and integrate technology into the curriculum.

Thank you so much for your kind words of encouragement! I've had 5 surgeries since April of 08 and as you can well imagine my brain is more than ready to have something more to do than "rest and recover", but my bones often betray those good intentions! Those dates give me something to aim for!
