Our Soup Kitchen provided 100,000 meals to the hungry.

Second Helpings salvaged 800,000 pounds (400 tons) of food at a value of $1,128,000 and distributed it to the hungry through the Soup Kitchen and 22 area community programs serving low-income individuals.

The Day Shelter provided many of the basic life necessities to over 1,000 unduplicated persons: a safe haven for the day, access to clothing, showers, phone, mail, mental health services, medical clinic, and housing assistance.

Night Shelter, which opened in October 2005, provided 36,500 nights of shelter for more than 900 unduplicated homeless men, women, and families with children.

Our Jobs Program placed 8 homeless individuals in full-time jobs, and with the help of local employers assigned 525 jobs to homeless individuals.

Two Transitional Living Centers (Ashley and Fourth Quarter) housed 75 homeless individuals with a history of substance abuse (including 35 veterans) in 18-month programs through an important combination of housing and supportive services in a therapeutic community setting.

Transportation Services: Good Shepherd Center provided transportation for guests to jobs, medical appointments, housing opportunities, educational institutions, and referral service agencies.

Case Management: Good Shepherd Center facilitated the transition of 136 unduplicated individuals and families with children from shelter to housing in the last year.

Medical and Mental Health Clinic: Our on-site Clinic provides uninsured and mentally ill homeless guests with access to primary care, wound care, screening for chronic health conditions such as diabetes, asthma, and hypertension, prescription medications and mental health counseling.
