Let me know if you would still like for me to speak to your daughter (no charge, of course). It shouldn't be that much longer before she leaves for Parris Island. If I don't hear from you, please know that I will be thinking of her and…

I forgot to add that maybe your daughter can attend, also. It would give her an opportunity to see the ceremony, pride, honor, comaraderie, dedication, etc. that is instilled in military personnel. And she will be a Veteran one day.

Good for your daughter! She picked the finest; the Marine Corps...the only Corps. It will be a life changing experience for her and she will have many opportunities. I would be glad to meet with her. Please understand that I was in from '82-'88, so things were somewhat different back then. I am also a reality therapist so I do not hold back when discussing issues. I am a member of Disabled American Veterans and the Marine Corps League. Maybe some of your friends would be interested in joining. Both organizations support active duty and Veterans. Thank you for what you do.

I hope that you and your friends can join us at the Town Hall Meeting for Veterans next week. It should be interesting. I think that it is important for our politicians to see Veterans of all ages. I am trying to get some of the Veteran residents of the nursing/rehab facilities there, also. I have 15-20 WWII Veterans in the three facilities that I visit.

Steve,
May want to check out Debra Racine (Warrior Ride Coordinator). I met her the other night and she and her husband are doing wonderful things for Veterans who have been disabled. They also have events coming up you might be interested in.

Hope all is well with you,
Karen
