- The Wilmington NC Bird Club and Rescue is dedicated to the education of our members and our community on the care of companion birds. This goal is accomplished through speakers at our monthly meetings and the sharing of information among our members.

- We always welcome interested members & need volunteers to provide food, shelter, money for vet care and loads of love for our rescued companion birds while they are waiting to be placed in their forever homes.

- The Wilmington NC Bird Club and Rescue's purpose is to educate people about bird care and to provide a resource for birds that need fostering or rescue - it is not to facilitate the sale of birds; there are other venues for that sort of classified ad.
If a bird owner has a situation where they need to give up a bird and find it a good home for whatever reason, then our members can be made aware of the situation and contact the current owner re: adoption or rescue; our members do this free of charge and make this commitment of time and financial resources because they love birds.
