2010 Manna Schedule and Web update

Friends of Manna,

Our last food distribution of the year is this Saturday, Dec 19th, from 9 am to 11 am – rain or shine. Dress appropriately. We are outdoors.

Beginning in January, we will be changing food distributions to ONCE A MONTH – 3rd Saturday of each month. See full schedule for 2010 below.

THE NEXT PLANNING MEETING WILL BE Monday, January 11th from Noon till 1pm. All who wish to get more involved are welcome. See web page for directions – http://vfwbc.org

Now, as we complete the 1st decade of the 21st century, I look around to see what we Americans have become. Once we were dependent on our two hands, strong backs and faith in the Bible and God, but now we are leaning on our hands, turning our backs and putting our faith in the Constitution and Government. This Christmas, selflessly consider the words of the One whose birth we celebrate – Jesus – who said, “I did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give my life as a ransom for many.”
