Giving back in Southeastern North Carolina

In this wonderful Holiday Season I think this story would definitely be one that would make all of us feel warm and fuzzy
and realize that this is why we do what we do.

In original pic, this sweet canine, was found as a stray and the shelter had actually named him Hopeless in the Hope
that his plight would produce some sympathy and get him some help. They posted him as Major and the wonderful
rescue folks realized the sweet potential of this very down trodden canine and wanted to rally to do what they could to save him.
Rescue folks started posting and cross posting and praying real hard that someone would be able to help Major.

A very heartfelt email from a wonderful rescuer piqued the interest of Sunburst Foundation and we had to go check this
sweet boy out. Wow. He was in terrible shape but his sweet face and constant wagging tail told the story.

Luckily this Hopeless canine went from the depths of despair to rescue and quickly into a wonderful foster situation. His
medical condition still was extensive (note his still reddened skin from demodex mange) but this sweet boy has found his match made in Heaven in his foster and then wonderful
adoptive home. He has in less than a month, Hopeless, then Major, then Major Crush and now called Kimbo, gained 17#.
He goes on 2 mile walks every day with his beloved owner. He has sweet canine friends that are showing him what it really means
to be a real dog. He has a tupperware container full of dog toys. His medical condition is still being dealt with at this time but
he is definitely on the upswing.

When we first brought him into rescue we were guessing that he was 1-1 1/2 years old but he is now thought to be around
8 mos old.

This process to a wonderful end has run the course of so many wonderful folks that work behind the scenes everyday to change
a living hell for so many animals to Peace on Earth.

Regards and Holiday Blessings to All
