About Make Your Mark Week:

GenerationOn, the youth service division of Points of Light, presents Make Your Mark Week to inspire and mobilize kids of all ages to usetheir energy, ingenuity and compassion to “make their mark on theworld” through hands-on service.  Make Your Mark Week encouragesyoung people to do small acts or service projects that together make a bigimpact on their lives, their communities and the world. The week focuses onissues that matter most to kids – animal welfare, the environment, homelessness, hunger and literacy – and culminates on Make A DifferenceDay, the largest national day of service. We hope to reach millions of kids andparents through promotional outreach and engage at least 100,000 kids in MakeYour Mark Week.

GenerationOn’s Make Your MarkWeek is October 16-22. It’s an opportunity for kids to focus on issuesthat matter most to them and to support those issues with small acts of servicethat come together to create big changes.

This year, Make Your Mark Weekfocuses on five issue areas that matter most to young people: animals, theenvironment, homelessness, hungerand literacy.

You can help to support Make YourMark Week by sharing ways that kids can make their mark through your socialnetworks. Take a minute to check out the MakeYour Mark Week website and the MakeYour Mark Week Facebook application.
