New Hanover County Arboretum is 7 acres of gardens that is open to the public every day during daylight hours and is free to visit. The Arboretum offers a variety of gardens including a rose garden, water garden, Japanese garden, children's garden, vegetable garden, and more. It has made some major renovations recently and plans for more.
