Giving back in Southeastern North Carolina
In a push to combat area crime, Wilmington Central Rotary plans to tap into one of the community’s most prominent strengths – its abundance of amateur talent.
The event, slated to take place at 7 p.m. Nov. 18 at Thalian Hall, will shine the spotlight on area singers, dancers, musicians, magicians and all acts in between. Organizers even welcome up-and-coming animal tricksters.
The top act, to be determined by a panel of judges, will receive an artist feature in The Beat Magazine. All proceeds will go toward purchasing a drug dog for the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Department canine unit.
Tickets are available before, and the day of the event for $20.
